Our Beginnings

A story of humanity and sails

Since the first regatta held in 1999, we have been guided by the same idea: to use our love of the sea and sailing to create a better future. Over more than two decades, the Lions Regatta “Sailing Against Drugs” has grown into the largest and most significant humanitarian event of its kind in the region, bringing together hundreds of participants from around the world and leaving a lasting positive impact on the community.

Our mission

All funds raised at the Lions Regatta are dedicated to financing programs for the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of addictions, as well as educating children and young people about the dangers of drugs. Through collaboration with the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) and local organizations, we ensure that support reaches those who need it most. Our goal is not only humanitarian but also to promote environmental awareness, encourage education and creativity, and empower young people for a healthier future.
